nervous system scans
Advanced Technology to Access the Impact of Stress
Advanced chiropractic technology allows us to get a first-hand look into how your nervous system is functioning, and how we can help. We always say, “You don’t get blood pressure medication without first checking your blood pressure.” The scans tell us how your nervous system is working and adapting to stress, they are non-invasive, painless, and completely safe for infants and pregnant women.
About the scans
HRV
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is the variation of your heart beat intervals. This scan measures those intervals for a duration of 5 minutes, and Chiropractic doctors use it to gain insight on how the autonomic nervous system is affecting your heart rate. Most people are either in rest mode (break pedal), or fight-or-flight mode (gas pedal), and the HRV gives us a good indication of which. This scan tells us how your nervous system is adapting to your everyday stress.
tHERMAL
This scan rolls up the spine, and measures the temperature on both sides. The autonomic nervous system controls our body's temperature, so when a difference in temperature is detected by the scan, it indicates stress on your autonomic nerves (subluxation). The test helps us determine the severity of that stress and which organs might be affected because of it.
SURFACE EMG
Surface Electromyography (EMG) measures the miniscule amounts of electrical energy in the muscles surrounding your spine. When your experiencing nervous system stress (subluxation), it can result in too much or too little electrical activity in those muscles. As we work to combat that stress, this highly-accurate scan allows us to document your progress.
